Serengeti is one of Africa’s most famous national parks, spread over a sprawling grassland area of almost 15,000 square kilometers. It is home to the iconic Great Wildebeest Migration when over two million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle migrate in search of greener pastures. Serengeti is also home to big cats (lion, leopard, cheetah) and other predators and scavengers such as wild dogs and hyena. Notably, it is home to almost 3000 lions, one of the largest lion populations anywhere in the world. The park offers a remarkable wildlife safari experience with its wide range of wildlife all around the year.
The good time to go in order to follow the wildebeest migration is time from December to July and best time to see predators from June to November.
